Hayley + Nick’s beautiful wedding may have had a slightly drizzly start, but the warmth and affection from the people they surrounded themselves with kept smiles on everyone’s faces.
We met Haley over a year ago around the corner from their wedding venue… while photographing a different wedding! Manchester, Vermont is a frequent destination for couples coming up from the New York City area, but Hayley and Nick are effectively locals, having a family home in the area.
The pristine feel of the small Vermont town was on full display throughout the day, as they enjoyed their preparations at the Equinox Resort, a beautiful ceremony directly across the street at the First Congregational Church of Manchester, and an elegant reception at the private Ekwanok Golf Club. The Ekwanok also provided the background for a private first look earlier in the day, and gave guests a beautiful view of the mountains at sunset during cocktail hour.
An antique car whisked the couple away after the ceremony, following by the wedding party in the back of a giant antique Chevy truck. Add in some sing-a-longs on the dance floor, heartfelt speeches, an impromptu limbo contest, and a late night sparkler exit and you have a perfect Vermont summer wedding.
