Wow, May 10th already? Yep: it’s time for another 10 on 10 post. (Not sure what I’m talking about? Click here to see the first month and learn a bit more about the 10 on 10 project, and click here to see all of the posts to date.) We’ve been working like crazy for the last month, but took Mother’s Day off completely so we could spend time with Steve’s mom and grandmother in Vero Beach. That seemed like the perfect…

Well hey again! It’s time for another 10 on 10 post. (Not sure what I’m talking about? Click here to see the first month and learn a bit more about the 10 on 10 project, and click here to see all of the posts to date.) This month’s post backtracks quite a bit: all the way to the end of our last lengthy trip, a day we’ll call “Leaving Las Vegas”. (Thanks for that one, Steve.) Before we go any…

There’s a funny thing about living in South Florida: time passes in the most confusing way. We measure seasons by what decorations have been put up at the mall rather than what the weather is like. Sometimes the only way I know that the holidays are coming is that it gets dark before dinner. Yet again I’m surprised by how quickly the last month went by, and it’s suddenly time for November’s 10 on 10…

We’ve known Mike for what seems like forever. Part of the dedicated team of artists who create our Signature albums, we’ve been working with him remotely on our clients’ books and in person at industry tradeshows since 2011. Or maybe 2010. (See? It feels like forever. We can’t even remember.) Em and Britney, a fellow photographer who works out of Portland, Oregon, long ago decided that when Mike finally made things official with his stunning…

Whoa, these months are just flying by, aren’t they? It’s already time for October’s 10 on 10 post! (Not sure what I’m talking about? Click here to see the first month and learn a bit more about the 10 on 10 project, and click here to see all of the posts to date.) We went on a pretty epic roadtrip this fall. We’ll have many, many more images in the near future (once we give our clients some extra…

Another month has flown by, and it’s time for my second 10 on 10 post! (Didn’t see last month’s? Click here to see it and learn a bit more about the 10 on 10 project.) The images for this month’s post were so hard to narrow down. I spent three lovely days at Acadia National Park (we stayed at nearby Bar Harbor, Maine) with my dad and stepmom; having a full summer schedule I’ve barely had time to look…

We’ve kept in touch with the delightful Duffy family since Jessica + Ian were married in 2010. We hadn’t had a chance to photograph their newest addition to the family yet, so late afternoon at the family’s farm and woodshop was a real treat (speaking of which, you should check out Rockledge Farm for beautiful handmade furniture and kitchen tools). See a few of our favorites from their session earlier this summer below, and get in…

Our 4th of July holiday weekend kicked off with Mai-Vi + Paul’s intimate wedding in Boca Raton on July 3rd. We were blown away by the relaxed atmosphere of the small group of relatives and close friends, and felt immediately welcome. Mai-Vi started her day by going on a “fun run” with her girls (“just ten miles”– wow!), and then settled into her air conditioned suite at the Boca Raton Resort + Club to get ready.…

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms we know and love out there, and especially to my mom, Evelyn, who’s at home in chilly Vermont today. (Wish you were here!) A quick look back to two of my favorite photos of Momma with her girls (from November of 2012, with photos by my oh-so-talented husband, Steve). –xoxo Em

We had to share this with you. We’re enjoying family, food, holiday treats, and of course… Stannis. Who loves his Santa hat SO MUCH. Leave Stannis some comment love, and we’ll read them aloud when we put his hat back on tonight! We hope you’re having a great day regardless of whether or not you celebrate Christmas. Many xoxoxoxoxos from the Pogos!

After a relaxing day wandering Key West (and playing with the kitties at the Hemingway Home… see one of Em’s instagrams here) we met up with Cindy + Alan to visit some of their favorite parts of the town and take some portraits minus the crazy atmosphere of the wedding day. To beat the heat we had a snack at Kermit’s Key Lime Shoppe, where we discovered that chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick,…

Jessica and David were among my first clients, way back before Pogo Photo, before Steve, before Florida, in the early years of my college studies at SCAD. I met Jessica years before that, when she was directing local plays in Vermont and cast me as Celia in As You Like It (and we both discovered that acting—and memorizing lines—were not my strong points, though it was a fun experience). Far, far away, Jessica met David…

You may remember Britney & Joe from our impromptu New York engagement session in January… they decided to have their wedding just prior to WPPI‘s convention (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas last month.  We were so excited to be their guests… not only are they incredibly talented photographers and colleagues, but we are happy to count them among our close friends.  While we were technically guests, those of you who know Em will…

Note from Emily: This session was a bit of a surprise for me!  I headed back to my home state of Vermont to visit with my parents for a few days between Mystic 6 and ImagingUSA, and knew that my trip would overlap my younger sister Monica’s visit by about 12 hours.  Since she was bringing her boyfriend Jake home to meet the family, I was looking forward to both meeting him and doing a…

This is the third of three New York City engagement sessions that Emily shot during her trip to the northeast.  Thanks to everyone for such a fun, welcoming trip! Molly & Gordon are engaged to be married in Lyme, New Hampshire this August.  Emily and Molly have known each other since they were 15 years old, both pining over mean high school boys!  Things have drastically improved in their love lives since then, and it…
