I joined Katie + Rob for their joyful summer wedding celebration at the Inn at Manchester, a sweet country inn nestled in the town of Manchester, Vermont. The day started off with a torrential downpour just as I arrived into town, but the storm quickly moved off and left behind beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine! Family and friends witnessed their heartfelt ceremony (complete with a retelling of how they met while at college together)…

Spending the day with Ashley + Joe at the 1824 House in Waitsfield was like a breath of fresh air. (How is the weather always so beautiful in this little town?) I loved their intimate wedding celebration; their personalized touches (handmade paper flowers and garlands made from scripts from the theater where they both worked and green lighting gel material) pulling pieces of their love story into the physical decor; their adorable fur-baby Watson, an…

Nancy + Andrew. How can I describe their delightful day? The relaxed vibe, the friends and family eager to celebrate, the down-to-earth venue, two adorable dogs, and the wildflower theme… it would have been perfect no matter how the weather turned out, but then Vermont truly delivered. On what should have been a dreary day we had early hours of sunshine, a glorious breeze, and dramatic skies that only gave way to rain once everyone…

Amy + Robert really and truly lucked out with their fall weather! Always unpredictable, Vermont delivered a quintessential autumn day, with crisp blue skies, a blaze of colorful foliage, and blustery winds (the kind that send your veil flying). Their entire day was at the Vermont National Country Club, which overlooks rolling greens with beautiful mountains at the horizon; a wraparound porch and soaring ceilings inside made for an excellent party location, and the side…

Brooke + Corey chose the lovely Inn at Manchester (tucked just off the main road through the center of Manchester, Vermont) for their destination wedding celebration, bringing family and loved ones with them from along the east coast. A bit of a drizzly day kept the ceremony under the barn’s spacious covered patio, but it didn’t stop the party! The skies cleared enough for us to wander the property for some portraits before enjoying dinner…

It’s amazing to see a meticulous plan come together! Megan + Erik’s Vermont wedding unfolded seamlessly on a picture-perfect fall day. While many of our clients escape the confines of New York City in favor of the Green Mountain State for their celebration weekend, these two have their own retreat nestled in the nearby hills. This allowed Megan to get ready at their home with friends and family, setting the tone for a day that…

We’re lucky when it comes to our clients. Really, really lucky. We work with a lot of cool people, a lot of friendly people, and a lot of creative people; sometimes days are wild, sometimes days are beautiful, and sometimes days are calm. Once in a while we have a wedding day where all of these things are combined into a magical mixture, and while those days make our faces hurt from grinning (and we…

Who had fun at Claire + Jamis’ wedding? We’ll take a wild guess and say EVERYONE. We certainly did! From the gorgeous setting in scenic Manchester, Vermont to the giant bonfire to close the evening, this wedding was borderline epic from start to finish. While the spring greenery and rolling hills certainly make for lovely images, our very favorite thing was these two and their striking love for each other. Their genuine joy and excitement…

Lauren and Will’s wedding at the Inn at Manchester, a delightful family-owned venue in beautiful Manchester, Vermont, was the perfect way to begin our wedding season up north. Rainy? Sure, but we all saw that coming. Rain is always a possibility for spring weddings, but the love and excitement of their day couldn’t be dampened. Working with these two hardly felt like work; their easygoing attitudes and the clear support and joy from their friends…

Kate + Matt’s beautiful wedding day took place at the Jackson Gore Inn, a property within Okemo Mountain’s vast holdings. The Inn proved to be the perfect place for both bride and groom to get ready in separate suites, with the ceremony a quick golf cart ride away at the Toll Gate Garden, a new ceremony site that is so perfectly suited to a sweet outdoor ceremony that we’re surprised it wasn’t used sooner. Overlooking lovely…

From the moment we met Molly and Jess we knew we were a good fit. From the cats in their sweet country home to the way they made us (and each other!) laugh, to our meet up in the local Norwich Inn pub for hot pretzels and a drink, our relationship felt like one with old friends, not just new clients. We were excited to hear about their close family connections, particularly with their young daughter…

Update: we’ve added the back blog posts! They’re back-dated so they appear in order. We’ll leave this post up because we kinda love seeing all of these images together. :-) We know. We’ve been neglecting our blog for months. We had an incredible season working in Vermont (yes, we’re local there in the summer and fall now!) and we can’t wait to share some of our favorite images. Here are a few favorites to tide…

Meeting Brigid + Josh last summer for their engagement session was a wonderful surprise. We don’t usually book couples for wedding photography via email, so meeting someone with our big cameras in hand must be a bit intimidating– this happy couple handled it all in stride. Their love for each other shone that day, as we walked through downtown White River Junction, Vermont. We loved that they added in a nod to their planned honeymoon…

Margot and Jeff celebrated their marriage with close family and friends last weekend at the elegant Home Hill Inn, in Plainfield, New Hampshire. We flew up for the festivities and had an amazing time– every time we turned around there was another amazing handmade detail to photograph, and laughter and friendly smiles were everywhere.

Note from Emily: This session was a bit of a surprise for me!  I headed back to my home state of Vermont to visit with my parents for a few days between Mystic 6 and ImagingUSA, and knew that my trip would overlap my younger sister Monica’s visit by about 12 hours.  Since she was bringing her boyfriend Jake home to meet the family, I was looking forward to both meeting him and doing a…

Jessica and Ian were married on the 23rd of May at Rockledge Farm in Weathersfield, Vermont.  It was a perfect late spring afternoon, sunny and warm… the weather couldn’t have been better!  We had a great time celebrating with Jessica & Ian and their families, and came home with so many great images.
