Ashley + Joe | 1824 House Wedding | Waitsfield, Vermont

by Emily Pogozelski

Spending the day with Ashley + Joe at the 1824 House in Waitsfield was like a breath of fresh air. (How is the weather always so beautiful in this little town?) I loved their intimate wedding celebration; their personalized touches (handmade paper flowers and garlands made from scripts from the theater where they both worked and green lighting gel material) pulling pieces of their love story into the physical decor; their adorable fur-baby Watson, an enthusiastic beagle who wore his very own suit (handmade by Ashley); their unique take on a union ceremony, where they assembled a terrarium as a nod to a family tradition; the love and excitement for this happy occasion, shared by friends and family alike. Everything came together beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier to share some favorite images from the day. (A few of these may–barely–get across just how steep the hill leading to the ceremony site is. There is a way to drive up, but I decided to tough it out and walk. Whoops!)

Thank you to everyone who made this day so fun and welcoming; I hope you enjoy this peek, and I can’t wait to share the full set. xoxo–Em

Thank you to all of our wonderful fellow vendors for making this day so smooth and fun! (Full list coming soon.)
