Nicole + Scott | Day After Session | Naples, Florida

by Emily Pogozelski

Alright, so we weren’t quite finished with Nicole + Scott (if you haven’t seen their wedding post, click here to check it out). The day after their wedding we took some time to wander around Naples in more casual clothing (Nicole had a reception dress she never had a chance to wear… perfect!). As much fun as we always have during the nerves-stretched-tight excitement of wedding days, day after sessions have an amazing feeling of relief: the stress of planning, guests, family, everything just melts away and for a couple of hours it’s just snuggling and basking in the fun of being brand-newlyweds. The weather was gloriously Floridian “winter”; sunny, perfectly breezy, and occasionally a bit too “cold” without jackets, but we made do. We meandered around 5th Avenue South (where brunch-drunk tourists stumbled across sidewalks in droves at .04 MPH), and ended up in the gardens by the hospital for a few shots amongst the trees. Thanks and much love to such an awesome couple, we’re [still] so excited that you chose us as your photographers. :-)

Mmm, creepy mini-child statues. CONGA LINE!!!

The Day After Shoot was so much fun, besides enduring the solo day of Florida winter. Running around 5th Ave and mocking the kid statues was a great way for the Davison’s to start their Honeymoon. I must say the picture up in the tree is one of my favorites [the pictures of Nicole getting out, however, shall never be seen again! ;-) ]

Pogos… you have done it again. I have to say, the only hard part of the whole day (besides staying warm) was attempting to put on the “serious face” for a couple shots because we were laughing, giggling, and having a blast with you two the entire time! Thanks for making us feel so relaxed and comfortable and for forcing me to stick to my guns when out of no where I blurted out that it would be a fun idea to jump in a tree in a short dress. You guys bring out my inner Tyra Banks. haha I honestly can’t say enough good things about you as photographers and as people. You are simply the best. Better than all the rest. Better than anyone… really. Mad love, The Ampersands <3.
