Sara + Paul’s wedding day is a perfect example of September in Vermont: the hint of fall weather is just around the corner, but it still feels summery enough to want to drink in the sunshine all day by the lake (which made their choice of venue, Basin Harbor in Vergennes, Vermont, absolutely perfect). The relaxed and happy vibe at Basin Harbor brings to mind family vacation spots that usually only show up in movies like Dirty Dancin’, but I promise: this place is completely real and absolutely delightful.
Some highlights from the day: Sara + Paul are quick to laugh and light up when they see each other; their pup Brady was able to join us for some portraits and stole the show; family and friends brought tray upon tray of homemade cookies as part of a Pittsburgh tradition of a “cookie table” (a legend amongst wedding photographers that we FINALLY got to see in person!); and a bonus of fireworks over the lake at the end of the evening.
