Palm Beach Island

A warm weather elopement while most of the country is still wrapped up in winter weather gives off a magically happy vibe. Relaxing ocean breezes and swaying palm trees feel positively indulgent, which makes Jupiter a wonderful place to elope. I’m so glad Maresa + Ben wanted me to take their portraits while they were in town to get hitched! We wound up heading down to take a late afternoon walk along the intracoastal on…

We are super excited to work with Lindsay + Deche on their wedding day; it already feels like we’re old friends, given how many times we’ve photographed their friends and classmates over the last few years. We got together with them while they were in town to shoot their engagement session, and we can’t get over how excited and happy they both look… basically all the time. We love that they personalized their session by…

The summer weather in South Florida is wildly unpredictable. Generally one can expect it to be hot [obviously], but we sometimes have days of relentless sunshine followed by sudden torrential downpours. Or hurricanes. (We don’t get “drizzle”. If it’s raining, you’ll notice; it’s typically blowing sideways.) When we photograph weddings in the summer in Florida we tend to go with the philosophy of, “Hey. You’ll say vows! Going into Alex + Jared’s Palm Beach destination wedding we knew that they were drawing people from all over the United States and beyond. Emily had the opportunity to work with Huy Nguyen of Love, Unscripted as his second shooter last fall. What a fantastic experience! The couple from New York, Christine and Austin, were charming and adorable together, and their guests enjoyed an incredible evening of dinner and dancing at the opulent surroundings of Mar-a-Lago, a Palm Beach landmark for nearly a century. Click below for Emily’s best shots of the day (and be sure to check out…

Anna and Jim were married on a brilliantly sunny morning last weekend in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Surrounded by their children, family and friends, the happy couple exchanged vows at the beautiful and historic Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, then continued their celebration at the Sailfish Club on Palm Beach Island.  We loved the bridal party– Jim’s daughter Bailey was the maid of honor and his son Carriger the best man; Anna’s two sons Jack and…

Colleen and Jeff joined us for an urban engagement session on Palm Beach Island earlier this week.  The weather was beautiful– and not too hot, which is always a happy surprise this time of year.  We walked around different parts of the island, exploring for interesting backgrounds with pretty evening light and having a fun time chatting about their upcoming wedding.  The happy couple brought their adorable dog, Taylor, with them.  She was so well…
