Katie + John | Belly Session | MacArthur Park

We’ve been having some awfully rainy weather in South Florida for the past few weeks, but Katie + John were game to trek out to MacArthur Beach State Park to document her magnificent belly! Em joined these expectant parents (who also had us as their wedding photographers last year, which was awesome!) at the park, and everyone determined that the weather didn’t look too bad, so we left the umbrellas in the car. Anyone who’s been to MacArthur can tell you that it’s a loooong walk back along the boardwalk if you leave something behind, so we ducked under the zig-zagging boardwalk ramp when the rain really started to come down. We all braved the ankle-biting gnats (a lesson in patience for new parents) and bided our time while every last Sunday beach-goer slogged through the rain back to the parking lot. Once the beach was completely deserted the rain slowly let up and stopped, letting us make our way down to the shore and back along the boardwalk. We love the honest excitement in Katie + John’s faces, and we can’t wait to meet “Baby P” (“P” for “Parasite”… real name to be revealed in due time) in just a few short weeks.
