Catholic ceremony

The summer weather in South Florida is wildly unpredictable. Generally one can expect it to be hot [obviously], but we sometimes have days of relentless sunshine followed by sudden torrential downpours. Or hurricanes. (We don’t get “drizzle”. If it’s raining, you’ll notice; it’s typically blowing sideways.) When we photograph weddings in the summer in Florida we tend to go with the philosophy of, “Hey. You’ll say vows! And we’ll take photos. We’ll play the rest…

Andrea + Stephen found us because of networking, though in a very roundabout way. Em’s stepmother met a talented makeup artist in Burlington, Vermont a while back, and eventually we met Vivian Infantino in person while she was visiting family in Florida. We had yet to work together on a shoot, but kept meeting up for coffee (and eventually for some portraits of Vivian herself, in Hanover NH last summer). We were delighted when her nephew’s…

Christina + Ryan (click to see their engagement session at the Jupiter lighthouse earlier this year) were married on the first of December, which unlike much of the country was actually a beautifully warm and sunny day. They both got ready at Frenchman’s Reserve with their best guys and gals, chose to see each other privately for their First Look, then headed to Saint Patrick Catholic Church down the road for the ceremony. Christina was…

Meeting Brigid + Josh last summer for their engagement session was a wonderful surprise. We don’t usually book couples for wedding photography via email, so meeting someone with our big cameras in hand must be a bit intimidating– this happy couple handled it all in stride. Their love for each other shone that day, as we walked through downtown White River Junction, Vermont. We loved that they added in a nod to their planned honeymoon…

Ashley and Mac were married last Saturday during what was predicted to be an incredibly stormy day (as in Tropical Stormy). Astonishingly the rain and wind managed to hold off during the exact moments we needed to be outside, so we all stayed comfortably dry and we were still able to head to the portrait location Ashley and Mac were looking forward to using. (Thanks to whoever is in charge of weather!) We were touched…

We joined Alicia & Ryan for their wedding in South Florida at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Pembroke Pines, followed by a beautiful reception at Signature Grand in Davie.  Ryan’s family was also celebrating the 100th birthday of Uncle Frank, who had his own cake and even made a speech.  What a fun joint celebration!  Thank you to Alicia, Ryan and their families for making us feel so welcome during this important day. Vendor…
