From the moment we met Molly and Jess we knew we were a good fit. From the cats in their sweet country home to the way they made us (and each other!) laugh, to our meet up in the local Norwich Inn pub for hot pretzels and a drink, our relationship felt like one with old friends, not just new clients. We were excited to hear about their close family connections, particularly with their young daughter…

You may remember Melissa + Ian’s engagement session from last summer; it was photographed at the same location as their wedding, which was a great way to prep for what we all wanted to do for wedding day portraits! Weddings at Aloha Camp are slightly less common than nearby Camp Ohana, which overlooks Lake Fairlee, but given Melissa’s personal and family connections to Aloha it was the obvious choice for such an important day in…
Update: we’ve added the back blog posts! They’re back-dated so they appear in order. We’ll leave this post up because we kinda love seeing all of these images together. :-) We know. We’ve been neglecting our blog for months. We had an incredible season working in Vermont (yes, we’re local there in the summer and fall now!) and we can’t wait to share some of our favorite images. Here are a few favorites to tide…
There is nothing like the early morning fog on a Vermont lake. Melissa knows this; she has spent most of her summers on this exact lake, Lake Morey, at a girls’ summer camp that feels like stepping off the whirling merry-go-round of daily modern life into a place where you can breathe, swim, read, hike, and learn. The kind of sleep-away camp you read about in novels or see in movies, but this camp is completely…
Meeting Brigid + Josh last summer for their engagement session was a wonderful surprise. We don’t usually book couples for wedding photography via email, so meeting someone with our big cameras in hand must be a bit intimidating– this happy couple handled it all in stride. Their love for each other shone that day, as we walked through downtown White River Junction, Vermont. We loved that they added in a nod to their planned honeymoon…
We were so happy when Margot and Jeff decided they wanted a day-after session; we love doing these. It’s so fun to be able to find new and interesting locations for portraits without the time constraints of the wedding day!
Margot and Jeff celebrated their marriage with close family and friends last weekend at the elegant Home Hill Inn, in Plainfield, New Hampshire. We flew up for the festivities and had an amazing time– every time we turned around there was another amazing handmade detail to photograph, and laughter and friendly smiles were everywhere.
Wow, did we have a hard time narrowing down our favorites on this wedding! What an amazing day! We only just returned from our trip back from New Hampshire, Vermont and New York on Thursday, so we’ve been burying ourselves in work since then. A funny coincidence about this wedding: we had originally planned our wedding for the same date at the same venue.. and then decided to move our own celebration to a year…
Jessica and Ian were married on the 23rd of May at Rockledge Farm in Weathersfield, Vermont. It was a perfect late spring afternoon, sunny and warm… the weather couldn’t have been better! We had a great time celebrating with Jessica & Ian and their families, and came home with so many great images.
