We’re always a little nervous-excited when we meet clients for the first time at their engagement session… no matter how many great emails have been exchanged, being in person together is going to be totally different! We had nothing to worry about with Nicole + Scott, who both had beaming smiles despite the super-early sunrise session. (We had big smiles and lots of energy too… thanks to our iced coffees!) What a super sweet couple……

Melanie + Alex joined us for their engagement session at Dubois Park last week and absolutely rocked their session. We’re super excited to be there for their wedding this fall! Click below for more of our favorites, and click here to be notified when the rest of the images are available in their gallery.

We got together with Tiffany + Mike for a Day After Session in Jupiter last week (sometimes we do these on the literal day after the wedding; usually they’re later unless it’s a destination wedding!). Didn’t Tiffany look stunning back in her dress?? We loved that she was adventurous enough to climb a tree (and that her firefighter husband was able to lift her up there like it was nothing… gotta love those strong rescuers!).…

Rebecca and Patrick welcomed their first son into the world at the end of May; Emily joined them in their Fort Lauderdale home for his newborn session a week later. What a sweet family, with so much love! We can’t get over how adorable Grant’s tiny face is. Click below for just a few of our favorites. :-) The rest will be added to Rebecca’s Belly Session Gallery in the next couple of days (click…

Remember Lowery + Brian’s engagement session earlier this year? We’ve been looking forward to their wedding ever since! While we’re lucky enough to live in paradise, we love seeing our sparkling nook of South Florida through the eyes of our clients who travel so far to have their wedding here. Lowery has dreamed of having her wedding here for quite some time; the first time she visited her parents’ friends’ home in Jupiter Inlet Colony,…

Angel + Sam completely light up when they look at each other. We’ve never met a couple who smile and laugh so much! (Though they can rock serious just as well, check them out below.) We met this blissfully-in-love couple a few weeks ago, just days after they officially announced their engagement. At their initial consultation with us they excitedly described what they wanted to do for an engagement session: recreate their first date. HOW…

We are so excited for Rebecca + Patrick’s first baby… their little boy is due in June! Emily went to their home to capture Rebecca during this special time in her life (along with a few shots with Patrick, of course). Can’t wait to meet their son next month… in the meantime, click below to see a few of our favorite images from their belly session, and click here to be notified when the rest…

We had a great afternoon with Christina + Ryan, starting at the Jupiter Lighthouse and finishing at Coral Cove Park for some beachy shots. The weather was threatening, but held off the entire time we were outside! How cooperative. :-) Despite living in Jupiter for the past 6 years, Em had somehow never been to the Lighthouse before (and Steve hadn’t been since elementary school), so it was a really fun experience… add in a…

We’re so excited for Tina + Angelo’s wedding this fall! We traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for their engagement session last week, and had fun exploring Little Five Points and Piedmont Park with them. It’s always so much fun to leap into the challenge of shooting in a new (to us) location! The colors and textures of Little Five Points were awesome, and Piedmont Park is lovely in April, full of lush greens and the beautiful…

Saturday was one of those spring days in Florida where the weather looked threatening, with looming clouds and spitting rain… but despite everything managed to hold off for Krista + Mark’s elegant wedding celebration at the Seagate Beach Club in Delray Beach. (Click below for more of Krista + Mark’s wedding day!)

Emily had the opportunity to work with Huy Nguyen of Love, Unscripted as his second shooter last fall. What a fantastic experience! The couple from New York, Christine and Austin, were charming and adorable together, and their guests enjoyed an incredible evening of dinner and dancing at the opulent surroundings of Mar-a-Lago, a Palm Beach landmark for nearly a century. Click below for Emily’s best shots of the day (and be sure to check out…

Lowery and Brian came all the way from Texas to meet with us while planning their wedding (coming up this June! Can’t wait!). We had scheduled their engagement session for a narrow window of time while they were in town for a few short days– Monday afternoon. And of course, South Florida goes and does that rare winter thing… it rained!  All day! And thunder, and… ick. So we planned the only bit of time…

We joined Stephanie and Jim in Naples for their engagement session before the holidays and had so much fun! We wandered through Tin City, 5th Avenue South, and wound up at the local beach for a spectacular Gulf Coast sunset over the water. Thanks to this happy couple for inviting us to your part of the state– we can’t wait to see you for your wedding in February! Click below to see more of our…

Amber + Mark joined us for a Day After session to celebrate their one year anniversary. When we were scouting locations recently this place just called out to us as the perfect setting for Amber’s poofy, layered dress.

Margot and Jeff celebrated their marriage with close family and friends last weekend at the elegant Home Hill Inn, in Plainfield, New Hampshire. We flew up for the festivities and had an amazing time– every time we turned around there was another amazing handmade detail to photograph, and laughter and friendly smiles were everywhere.

Wow, did we have a hard time narrowing down our favorites on this wedding!  What an amazing day! We only just returned from our trip back from New Hampshire, Vermont and New York on Thursday, so we’ve been burying ourselves in work since then.  A funny coincidence about this wedding: we had originally planned our wedding for the same date at the same venue.. and then decided to move our own celebration to a year…

Tiffany & Mike joined us in West Palm Beach for their engagement session on Monday, and we had perfect weather for it!  Tiffany first found us nearly two years ago when we photographed the wedding of one of her friends, and made our day recently by telling us that she has always planned on having us photograph her own wedding some day (so sweet!  Thank you for the compliment!).  We had a great time with…

You may remember Britney & Joe from our impromptu New York engagement session in January… they decided to have their wedding just prior to WPPI‘s convention (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas last month.  We were so excited to be their guests… not only are they incredibly talented photographers and colleagues, but we are happy to count them among our close friends.  While we were technically guests, those of you who know Em will…

Note from Emily: This session was a bit of a surprise for me!  I headed back to my home state of Vermont to visit with my parents for a few days between Mystic 6 and ImagingUSA, and knew that my trip would overlap my younger sister Monica’s visit by about 12 hours.  Since she was bringing her boyfriend Jake home to meet the family, I was looking forward to both meeting him and doing a…

This is the third of three New York City engagement sessions that Emily shot during her trip to the northeast.  Thanks to everyone for such a fun, welcoming trip! Molly & Gordon are engaged to be married in Lyme, New Hampshire this August.  Emily and Molly have known each other since they were 15 years old, both pining over mean high school boys!  Things have drastically improved in their love lives since then, and it…

This is the second of three New York City engagement sessions that Emily shot during her trip to the northeast… stay tuned for the third! Britney & Joe are wonderful New York photographers who own Turn Loose the Art.  Emily had been planning a visit with the happy couple while in the area anyway, and as luck would have it, they got engaged on Christmas!  An impromptu engagement shoot seemed like a fun idea, so…

This is the first of three New York City engagement sessions that Emily shot during her trip to the northeast… stay tuned for the rest! Emily joined Margot & Jeff in New York City for their engagement session in chilly Central Park earlier this month… and brr, was it cold!  Margot & Jeff are getting married in New Hampshire this fall, and we’re super excited to be able to photograph their wedding.  (It was so…

Jessica and Ian were married on the 23rd of May at Rockledge Farm in Weathersfield, Vermont.  It was a perfect late spring afternoon, sunny and warm… the weather couldn’t have been better!  We had a great time celebrating with Jessica & Ian and their families, and came home with so many great images.

As many of you already know, I was called out of town unexpectedly last week to be with my family.  My grandfather in Vermont died on Friday, with family and at home.  He was an amazing man and I have many wonderful memories of being with him.  I wanted to share two portraits I made while in college.  I had asked him not to smile, as these were supposed to be very serious photos… but…
