We always find that meeting clients who have booked us via phone or video chat can be a fun experience; we all wonder, what will they be like when they aren’t confined to my device? We needn’t have worried with Hillary and Greg, who immediately put us ease in their DC neighborhood near Meridian Hill Park. We began their engagement session at the park because it’s so close to their daily lives; we had thought…

Well hey again! It’s time for another 10 on 10 post. (Not sure what I’m talking about? Click here to see the first month and learn a bit more about the 10 on 10 project, and click here to see all of the posts to date.) This month’s post backtracks quite a bit: all the way to the end of our last lengthy trip, a day we’ll call “Leaving Las Vegas”. (Thanks for that one, Steve.) Before we go any…

Zion National Park. One of those parks we’d heard of, again and again, and always figured we’d end up there. But… we hadn’t quite realized just how close it is to Las Vegas (only 2.5 hours away by rental car). Let’s back up. Despite this being March 12th, this post is our 10 on 10 for the month. (Not sure what I’m talking about? Click here to see the first month and learn a bit more about the 10…

We’ve known Mike for what seems like forever. Part of the dedicated team of artists who create our Signature albums, we’ve been working with him remotely on our clients’ books and in person at industry tradeshows since 2011. Or maybe 2010. (See? It feels like forever. We can’t even remember.) Em and Britney, a fellow photographer who works out of Portland, Oregon, long ago decided that when Mike finally made things official with his stunning…

In case you hadn’t seen, life has been busy in Pogo land! We’ve been traveling like crazy, so our backlog of blogging shoots is piling up, but not to worry– Em will be back in Florida soon and updates will be flying at you. In the meantime, it’s September 10th already, which means it’s time for our third 10 on 10 post! (Not sure what I’m talking about? Click here to see the first month and learn a…

We’ve kept in touch with the delightful Duffy family since Jessica + Ian were married in 2010. We hadn’t had a chance to photograph their newest addition to the family yet, so late afternoon at the family’s farm and woodshop was a real treat (speaking of which, you should check out Rockledge Farm for beautiful handmade furniture and kitchen tools). See a few of our favorites from their session earlier this summer below, and get in…

Going into Alex + Jared’s Palm Beach destination wedding we knew that they were drawing people from all over the United States and beyond. Friends and family came from Boston, New Hampshire, California, and Alex’s grandparents flew from nearby (ha!) Romania. (They were a delight.) Some flew in for New Year’s Eve celebrations a few days before the big day, some flew in for the rehearsal, and some were delayed on their way back out…

After a relaxing day wandering Key West (and playing with the kitties at the Hemingway Home… see one of Em’s instagrams here) we met up with Cindy + Alan to visit some of their favorite parts of the town and take some portraits minus the crazy atmosphere of the wedding day. To beat the heat we had a snack at Kermit’s Key Lime Shoppe, where we discovered that chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick,…

There’s nothing quite like the hush of a sleepy Sunday afternoon in an elegant Southern city. Tina + Angelo donned their wedding clothes again for a relaxed day after session with us in Charleston, the festivities of the night before fading to a happy memory. We love sessions like this… everyone is tired, but the afterglow of the wedding still hangs in the air. Seeing the gentle touch of love between a new husband +…

An event eleven years in the making (which is conveniently their hashtag: #11yearsinthemaking), Tina + Angelo officially tied the knot last Saturday in sparklingly beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. This was a true destination wedding; not a single guest or family member was a local (even we came from Florida!). Charleston is a very special place for Tina + Angelo, as he spent his formative years at the prestigious Citadel, and after years of spending time…

Julie + Brian planned one of the most laid back, relaxing weddings we’ve been to… but how could it be anything but relaxing at a beautiful resort in the US Virgin Islands? We joined the happy couple and a small group of close family and friends for a weekend celebration of Julie + Brian’s love and marriage at the Sugar Bay Resort + Spa on St. Thomas. The weather looked threatening leading up to the…

We’re so excited for Tina + Angelo’s wedding this fall! We traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for their engagement session last week, and had fun exploring Little Five Points and Piedmont Park with them. It’s always so much fun to leap into the challenge of shooting in a new (to us) location! The colors and textures of Little Five Points were awesome, and Piedmont Park is lovely in April, full of lush greens and the beautiful…

Lowery and Brian came all the way from Texas to meet with us while planning their wedding (coming up this June! Can’t wait!). We had scheduled their engagement session for a narrow window of time while they were in town for a few short days– Monday afternoon. And of course, South Florida goes and does that rare winter thing… it rained!  All day! And thunder, and… ick. So we planned the only bit of time…

We joined Stephanie and Jim in Naples for their engagement session before the holidays and had so much fun! We wandered through Tin City, 5th Avenue South, and wound up at the local beach for a spectacular Gulf Coast sunset over the water. Thanks to this happy couple for inviting us to your part of the state– we can’t wait to see you for your wedding in February! Click below to see more of our…

Margot and Jeff celebrated their marriage with close family and friends last weekend at the elegant Home Hill Inn, in Plainfield, New Hampshire. We flew up for the festivities and had an amazing time– every time we turned around there was another amazing handmade detail to photograph, and laughter and friendly smiles were everywhere.

Wow, did we have a hard time narrowing down our favorites on this wedding!  What an amazing day! We only just returned from our trip back from New Hampshire, Vermont and New York on Thursday, so we’ve been burying ourselves in work since then.  A funny coincidence about this wedding: we had originally planned our wedding for the same date at the same venue.. and then decided to move our own celebration to a year…

This is the third of three New York City engagement sessions that Emily shot during her trip to the northeast.  Thanks to everyone for such a fun, welcoming trip! Molly & Gordon are engaged to be married in Lyme, New Hampshire this August.  Emily and Molly have known each other since they were 15 years old, both pining over mean high school boys!  Things have drastically improved in their love lives since then, and it…

Jessica and Ian were married on the 23rd of May at Rockledge Farm in Weathersfield, Vermont.  It was a perfect late spring afternoon, sunny and warm… the weather couldn’t have been better!  We had a great time celebrating with Jessica & Ian and their families, and came home with so many great images.
