Brooke + Corey chose the lovely Inn at Manchester (tucked just off the main road through the center of Manchester, Vermont) for their destination wedding celebration, bringing family and loved ones with them from along the east coast. A bit of a drizzly day kept the ceremony under the barn’s spacious covered patio, but it didn’t stop the party! The skies cleared enough for us to wander the property for some portraits before enjoying dinner…
destination wedding
Hayley + Nick’s beautiful wedding may have had a slightly drizzly start, but the warmth and affection from the people they surrounded themselves with kept smiles on everyone’s faces. We met Haley over a year ago around the corner from their wedding venue… while photographing a different wedding! Manchester, Vermont is a frequent destination for couples coming up from the New York City area, but Hayley and Nick are effectively locals, having a family home…
We’ve been meaning to post this wonderful wedding for a while, but travel and our shooting schedule kept getting in the way! After the momentous news about the Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality last month, we got an excited email from Lori + Sara encouraging us to post images from their wedding. Thanks for the prodding! We’re so happy for you and for everyone! –Em + Steve Working with Lori + Sara on their wedding…
One of the best things about our chosen path in photography is getting to meet new people and make new friends. You may recall Megan + Glen and their beautiful daughter Gabby from family portrait sessions we’ve published here; we actually met them at the wedding of their besties Nicole + Scott two years ago, and we were beyond thrilled when they asked us to be their photographers for their own wedding day. In what ended up…
Going into Alex + Jared’s Palm Beach destination wedding we knew that they were drawing people from all over the United States and beyond. Friends and family came from Boston, New Hampshire, California, and Alex’s grandparents flew from nearby (ha!) Romania. (They were a delight.) Some flew in for New Year’s Eve celebrations a few days before the big day, some flew in for the rehearsal, and some were delayed on their way back out…
Anna + Michael found us through their beautiful ceremony venue, the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida. Planning from far away Colorado, we didn’t have a chance to meet them until a couple of days before the big day, but their excited conversation and laid back, easy going personalities were infectious, and immediately won our hearts. Asking us to focus on capturing the day through candids, with a priority on their guests…
Maressa + Dan were married at the fabulous Eden Roc hotel in Miami Beach, Florida last weekend. Leading up to the big day we were all worried about weather, but the hopes and prayers must have worked.. we had quintessentially perfect Miami Beach sunshine! Surrounded by family and friends from all over the country, Maressa + Dan’s wedding was the perfect combination of traditional Jewish customs and 1950’s glamorous flair. We loved seeing Maressa’s face…
Alright, so we weren’t quite finished with Nicole + Scott (if you haven’t seen their wedding post, click here to check it out). The day after their wedding we took some time to wander around Naples in more casual clothing (Nicole had a reception dress she never had a chance to wear… perfect!). As much fun as we always have during the nerves-stretched-tight excitement of wedding days, day after sessions have an amazing feeling of…
We love what we do. We honestly feel that we have the best job in the world; we meet great people and get to be creative during an incredibly beautiful and emotional time in their lives. Overall we tend to book clients who we’d be friends with, so we’re generally really happy campers! Then once in a while we get a couple like Nicole + Scott who make us remember just how lucky we are.…
An event eleven years in the making (which is conveniently their hashtag: #11yearsinthemaking), Tina + Angelo officially tied the knot last Saturday in sparklingly beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. This was a true destination wedding; not a single guest or family member was a local (even we came from Florida!). Charleston is a very special place for Tina + Angelo, as he spent his formative years at the prestigious Citadel, and after years of spending time…
Julie + Brian planned one of the most laid back, relaxing weddings we’ve been to… but how could it be anything but relaxing at a beautiful resort in the US Virgin Islands? We joined the happy couple and a small group of close family and friends for a weekend celebration of Julie + Brian’s love and marriage at the Sugar Bay Resort + Spa on St. Thomas. The weather looked threatening leading up to the…
Remember Lowery + Brian’s engagement session earlier this year? We’ve been looking forward to their wedding ever since! While we’re lucky enough to live in paradise, we love seeing our sparkling nook of South Florida through the eyes of our clients who travel so far to have their wedding here. Lowery has dreamed of having her wedding here for quite some time; the first time she visited her parents’ friends’ home in Jupiter Inlet Colony,…
Stephanie + Jim’s intimate wedding at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens and 51 Supper Club.
Lowery and Brian came all the way from Texas to meet with us while planning their wedding (coming up this June! Can’t wait!). We had scheduled their engagement session for a narrow window of time while they were in town for a few short days– Monday afternoon. And of course, South Florida goes and does that rare winter thing… it rained! All day! And thunder, and… ick. So we planned the only bit of time…
We were so happy when Margot and Jeff decided they wanted a day-after session; we love doing these. It’s so fun to be able to find new and interesting locations for portraits without the time constraints of the wedding day!
Margot and Jeff celebrated their marriage with close family and friends last weekend at the elegant Home Hill Inn, in Plainfield, New Hampshire. We flew up for the festivities and had an amazing time– every time we turned around there was another amazing handmade detail to photograph, and laughter and friendly smiles were everywhere.
Wow, did we have a hard time narrowing down our favorites on this wedding! What an amazing day! We only just returned from our trip back from New Hampshire, Vermont and New York on Thursday, so we’ve been burying ourselves in work since then. A funny coincidence about this wedding: we had originally planned our wedding for the same date at the same venue.. and then decided to move our own celebration to a year…
Jessica and Ian were married on the 23rd of May at Rockledge Farm in Weathersfield, Vermont. It was a perfect late spring afternoon, sunny and warm… the weather couldn’t have been better! We had a great time celebrating with Jessica & Ian and their families, and came home with so many great images.
